Nina Buddhdev, The Bandish Network Society
We at ICMSV are excited to have Nina Buddhdev join our organization as our strategic development adviser. Nina Buddhdev is a well-known international industry professional, respected for her value-aligned vision for the arts and her mature competencies. With Nina’s knowledge and foresight, ICMSV has already secured new presenter partnerships and industry representation, which helps us take our work to a new height. Her commitment to raising the bar, creating legacy programs, and expanding audience bandwidths that honour core artistic principles, aligns with ICMSV’s mandate, purpose, and vision.

About Nina Buddhdev
Nina has an understated and prolific background as a presenter, curator, impact leader, and artist mentor. Her position in the heritage, arts & culture sector has become the bridge and filter, for many organizations and artists, empowering shared values with & a catalytic ‘together’ approach. In Canada, over the last decade, Nina’s creativity has realized a wide array of projects as part of experiential themes, collective partnerships for national campaigns & media initiatives. In all her leadership roles, she has championed Canadian artists and presenters to meet new impact opportunities that nurture our collective sociocultural wellness. As an accumulative measure, this commitment continues to mobilize recognition of living cultures in Canada’s creative economy. For such, Nina was awarded the 2019 House of Commons Community Champion Award.
Through her organization, The BANDISH Network Society, Nina consults with ASO teams and presenters to create a 'pull' effect by informed strategic and artistic development. In turn, aiding successful and respectful cultural representation with a mandate to connect - empower – create awareness, shift paradigms, and carve pathways between the intercultural & intergenerational communities, the private sector, arts organizations, and individual artists. BANDISH has springboarded the growth of artists and organizations through mentored participation in industry programs, media campaigns, and projects of national and international recognition. Nina also serves as the secretary-director for the Vancouver Intercultural Orchestra, and she is an adviser on the Cultural Services Committee for the City of Coquitlam.
Before moving to Canada, Nina designed the UK’s national touring and education parasol models for the Asian Music Circuit, (AMC), the UK’s pioneering revenue client agency for the Arts Council of England and producer of the BBC Indian Proms. AMC was the launchpad for many of today’s professional touring artists. At AMC, Nina grew the membership by 500%, regenerating the content and programming that diversified audience bandwidths with qualified programming.
Nina graduated in fine arts & ceramic sculpture, in 1992 with DMU & RCA, BA (Hons) in the UK. She followed on to study temple sculpture, philosophy, and historical arts in Khajuraho, India, supported by the RCA. Her sculptural work is mostly hand builds using crushed brick and earthen glazes. Her mixed media canvas works are interior installations that draw inspiration from the power of energy for healing homes. Nina is a registered Yoga Alignment instructor and RCA Arts Teacher. She teaches at her local studios and privately.
