The rudra veena is an ancient plucked string instrument used in Indian classical music, recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. In this interactive session, Bahauddin Dagar, a renowned maestro of Dhrupad music, will walk us through the history, craftsmanship, artistry, and evolution of this rare and majestic instrument. The session will start with discussions centred around the theme, followed by an open-floor Q&A.

This program is presented by the Indian Classical Music Society of Vancouver (ICMSV) with the support of Zameen Art House, and is sponsored by Gandharva Loka Vancouver.
